High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), also known as Low Pressure Polyethylene, is a semi transparent material with high crystallinity and non-polar surfaces. PE has excellent resistance to most household and industrial chemicals.

HDPE is a highly crystalline and non-polar thermoplastic resin. High density polyethylene is a white powder granular product that is non-toxic and odorless, with a density ranging from 0.940 to 0.976 g/cm3; The crystallinity is 80%~90%, the softening point is 125~135 ℃, and the operating temperature can reach 100 ℃; The melting temperature is 120-160 ℃. For materials with larger molecules, it is recommended to have a melting temperature range of 200-250 ℃.

It has good heat and cold resistance, good chemical stability, high rigidity and toughness, and good mechanical strength. The dielectric properties and resistance to environmental stress cracking are also good.

Hardness, tensile strength, and creep resistance are superior to low-density polyethylene; Wear resistance, electrical insulation, toughness, and cold resistance are all good, but slightly inferior compared to low-density insulation; Good chemical stability, insoluble in any organic solvent at room temperature, resistant to acid, alkali, and corrosion by various salts; Thin films have low permeability to water vapor and air, and low water absorption; Poor aging resistance and lower environmental cracking resistance compared to low-density polyethylene, especially when subjected to thermal oxidation, can lead to a decrease in its performance. Therefore, the resin needs to be improved by adding antioxidants and UV absorbers to address these shortcomings.

High density polyethylene film has a lower thermal deformation temperature under stress, which should be noted when applied.
